Watermelon Sorbet

Watch out ice cream! This quick and healthy 5 ingredient watermelon mint and basil sorbet has the perfect balance of refreshing and fresh flavors that will be sure to be a summer favorite.

Ingredients

3 cups frozen watermelon chunks 4 basil leaves 3 mint leaves Juice from 2 lemons 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Directions

1. Add watermelon chunks to a food processor and blend on high until chunks are broken down, about 30 seconds.
2. Add basil, mint, lemon juice, maple syrup and blend on high until combined and is a slushy texture, about 2-4 minutes.
3. Serve immediately or freeze in an airtight container.


Pro-Tips

Create the ultimate show stopping dessert by topping with Prosecco, it will be sure to win over the crowd.
Pineapple or blueberries would be great for an added pop of flavor.
If making ahead of time, defrost in microwave for 30 seconds to one minute and serve.
Have a surplus of watermelon, don’t waste it cut in chunks and throw in the freezer to whip up this thirst quenching sorbet.
